Editing a Label

Label Engine General, Help

To edit a label navigate to – Labels > Label name

From this window select the ‘Label name, Details and aliases’ link.

In the label details window you can edit your Label Name, Label manager, ISRC* prefix and Aliases.

*The ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music video recordings.

The prefix allows you to specify the first seven characters of your ISRC code that will be used to automatically create new ISRC codes incrementally.

If you have added Additional Users to your Label Engine account, the Label Manager section allows you to specify a user as the manager for the label. This user will then receive all email notifications relating to the label.

If you have a distribution account, you may specify a default publisher and copyright that will be set automatically when adding new tracks for distribution.

At the bottom of the page, you will see a list of aliases for the label used within the accounting section. These are words that the system will automatically link to the label if found within royalty statements. To prevent any of these aliases being matched to the label, simply click ‘Delete Alias’ to the right of the word. This will not affect any of your existing royalty allocations.

Once you are finished making the changes, just click the save changes button.
