Traxsource Launches New AI Transparency Initiative

Traxsource has launched a new AI transparency initiative beginning July 1st as part of their goal to provide listeners a clear view of how music on their platform has been created. Additionally, Traxsource is in the process of removing fully AI-generated content from their site.

What Is Changing

Starting July 1, tracks on Traxsource will show one of four classification badges on tracks:

  • Human Made (green H) – Reviewed through our verification process and classified as human made.
  • AI Assisted (purple star) – Our verification process flags the use of AI-assisted creation tools.
  • Inconclusive (amber question mark) – Scanned, but not verifiable as Human Made or AI Assisted. No conclusion has been made.
  • Not Scanned (gray dash) – Not yet processed through our classification system, based on release date.

To reach their classification decisions, Traxsource has partnered with two independent, industry-leading AI detection partners, SoundPatrol and SH Labs. At launch, their scanning system will reach back to November 1, 2025. After launch, Traxsource will continue to scan as far back as January 2025. Tracks on the platform that have not been reviewed yet carry the Not Scanned badge. Listeners will see the badges on releases, in search, and on the charts.

What To Expect On Launch Day

  • Badges appear on classified tracks automatically. There is no need to enable anything.
  • Tracks the platform has not scanned yet will show the Not Scanned badge until scanned.
  • A brand-new view in the Active Releases tab lets users see recently ingested releases, their status, and provides a place to create a dispute.

How to Dispute a False Claim

If your track receives a false claim, please contact your distributor to submit a dispute form on your behalf. To dispute a false classification, clients can provide us with the following information:

  • Artist Name
  • Track Name
  • UPC or Catalogue
  • ISRC
  • Reason for Dispute
  • Evidence (Stems, Multitracks, or Production Video)

Disputes are typically resolved within one to five business days, and tracks may only be disputed once, unless presented with new evidence.
