Earlier this year, Spotify introduced Reserved by Spotify to give eligible premium subscribers ages 18+ in the U.S. and Canada a dedicated window to purchase up to two tour tickets held just for them before the general sale.

Now Spotify is expanding on this feature to support fans throughout their entire concert journey, from the moment you get your invite to long after the lights go down. Spotify is rolling out three new features: personalized share cards, setlist playlists, and a central in-app destination.

  • Personalized share cards: share the excitement, from invite to purchase
  • Setlist playlists: explore setlists before and after the show
  • Central in-app destination: Return to the event in the app

The new suite of features starts rolling out now, and setlists will be available for participating artist tours as their show dates begin.

Share the excitement, from invite to purchase

Spotify is introducing two personalized share cards for Reserved invites and ticket purchases to mark both occasions. The first becomes available when fans are selected for a Reserved offer, so they can share that they got access to purchase tickets. After they purchase their tickets, a second card lets everyone know they’re officially going.

Customized with the user’s name, each card highlights the artist, show details, and Reserved badging to share on socials or drop in the group chat.

Explore setlists before and after the show

Setlists help you make the most of the music from a live show, whether for fans brushing up on lyrics beforehand or rediscovering a standout track after the performance.

Once fans purchase their Reserved tickets, they’ll unlock a dedicated tour setlist playlist on your event page, sourced from Setlist.fm. Before the show, fans can explore what the artist has been playing on tour to find out what they might hear.

Artists may change their setlist, so setlist playlists will also update after each show to track every tour debut and surprise song in real time. When the concert ends, the event page reflects the exact tracks played so fans can keep the night on repeat.

Return to an event in the Central in-app destination

Spotify is introducing an enhanced in-app destination to bring all your Reserved content together. Accessible through Home and Your Library, it’s where fans will find your share cards, pre-and post-show setlists, key event details, venue information, and past performances — giving users one place to return to as your concert approaches and long after the final encore.

How Reserved fits into Spotify’s concert features

Reserved is the latest way Spotify is helping bring fans closer to live music. Fans can search “live events” in the app to find the Live Events hub, where they can explore local concerts personalized to their listening. Within the feed, the Concerts Near You playlist introduces fans to artists performing nearby, with regular Wednesday updates and links to event details and tickets.

Reserved recognizes the artist’s existing fandom. It uses signals like streams, saves, and shares to identify an artist’s biggest fans and rewards them with access to tickets held just for them.
