It’s now officially the season of BBQs, pool parties, camping, beach days, and bonfires… All great things that require great music. We’re sending love to the LE artists and labels kicking off the summer in Michigan at Electric Forest’s first weekend. Bring the music to the people!
Speaking of, this week we’re bringing you some modern, jazzy soul from Vandal Ltd and Shield, a little trap fusion from Never Say Die’s LAXX, a good helping of vibey tech house from DJ Godfather off of Perfect Driver Music, and plenty more in our weekly music recommendations. Leading the list is Chime’s genre-crushing remix of “Lullaby” by LoneMoon. The two Rushdown artists were joined by other label staples like Bad Catholics and Rob Gasser to reimagine LoneMoon’s “Solstice EP”, and Chime’s iteration combines the melodic vocal of the original with new dubstep elements and a dash of chiptune.
