The Holidays are upon us and like every year, Beatport and iTunes have sent to us deliveries deadlines for content you wish to have available through the holidays.
Beatport’s delivery freeze starts December 10th, that means the last day to deliver any content to Beatport you wish to have available in the store before January 12th 2016 needs to be sent for distribution in our system no later than Wednesday, December 9th at 12pm GMT (7pm EST / 4pm PST).
iTunes’ delivery freeze starts December 18th, for our Distribution on Demand users that don’t deliver to Beatport that means that the last day for you to deliver any content you want available in the store before January 12th 2016 needs to be sent for distribution in our system no later than Thursday, December 17th at 12pm GMT (7pm EST / 4pm PST).
Spotify will continue to ingest content through the holidays via their automated system but note that starting December 11th, most of their tech and content ops will be on Holidays vacation so updates, changes and redeliveries may not be possible during that period (or slower than normal) so plan accordingly. They are back to normal January 4th, 2016.
Deliveries for both, Beatport and iTunes will resume January 5th 2016 but please note that during the freeze period NO UPDATES OR CHANGES CAN BE MADE in their system as their platform and staff will be on vacation so to avoid any issues please be sure to double check all your information before you submit it for distribution.
