New Feature: Automatic Label Copy Generator

Label Engine Updates

We have added a new feature that is very helpful all around but specially for labels that license music to third party companies and labels. For those familiar with licensing, you know what a label copy is, for those who don’t, its basically a collection of legal information about an specific track.

The label copy will share all the information entered within your distribution set up, including the songwriter information so be sure to always have that as accurate as possible if you wish to use this feature to its full potential.

The option is only currently available exclusively for our distributed customers (If you are not being distributed by us, what are you waiting for?) and there are two ways the new feature is linked for you or the third party company to see.

A) You can view it from your back end system, in case you need to download a PDF version for your records or to email someone directly. You can go to Distribution > Edit Release > View Track and it will be right underneath the player in the right side. (See screenshot)

B) When you use the sharing option, not only will the receiver get the track but they can also download the label copy from the same link. This is rather useful when you are sharing the WAV to a third party label/company. Kill two birds with one store, right?

The final result will be this, for obvious reasons the artist’s full name was covered but that is taken from the songwriter section (hence why we suggested you fill it out accurately). Also be sure to upload your letterhead so it looks nicely branded, to do so go to settings > invoice details.
