The HTFR Digital store team has announced it will shut down the doors to its MP3 download store citing issues with their servers and budget to maintain the infrastructure.
Here is what they had to say:
“Hi Everyone,
I thought I would take it upon myself to explain the recent downtime of HTFRD and some of the issues we have been having of late.
The unfortunate truth is that from our initial launch we quickly discovered the server solution and infrastructure that we were specced was inadequate, leading to a massive downtime at the start and frequent issues concerning server maintenance. This had the knock on effect of us having to invest thousands more into the upkeep of the site and unforeseen cost to constantly solve issues. After a few months of this, our initial web design company gave up on us leading to further problems.
We’ve spent the last few months quietly trying to redesign the site and its structure, but after getting constantly disappointed by various companies and non-stop failings, we can no longer justify the huge cost of maintenance together with paying for 5 high end storage servers and a webserver that is HTFRD.com.
It is with great regret that the directors of HTF Digital have decided to wind up the company. HTFRD.com has been shut down (We’ll be taking the site fully offline this week) and HTF Digital Ltd will be closed shortly after.
We are however, well aware of all royalties owed and I would like to make it clear that we intend to settle with everyone – We’d like to get our accounts in order for a couple of weeks, but we have no intention of turning our backs on the people that have supported us.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone for all your help and support, I’ve enjoyed working with each and every one of you.

We have stopped deliveries to the store since then and will monitor the financial situation with them although we don’t expect much revenue since the store was down for most of its time in business.
