We have made the decision to discontinue our feature “Follow to Download”, which requires recipients to login on social media platforms and follow your accounts on social media to download the selected tracks.
The Background
With the initial development of (at the time) Label Engine, the team envisioned a tool where artists and labels give fans first access to their music in exchange for expanding their social media reach. However, the world has changed.
As you might have noticed, Label Engine is evolving. This has forced a reckoning where we needed to make some long-term decisions about the future of this amazing product.
Discontinuing Follow to download
Effective immediately, the team is discontinuing any development on the feature and recommend that our labels and artists begin utilizing the promotional system features and tools.
“Follow to download” will be taken down on March 1st 2022.
