I’m very happy to announce that Label Engine has been\u00a0acquired by\u00a0Create (CreateTV, INC),\u00a0a media company based in Los Angeles that specializes in YouTube monetization and artist development.<\/p>\n
Firstly let me start by saying that Label Engine continues to be managed\u00a0by\u00a0Label Engine staff. The same people you are used to working with\u00a0will continue to offer the same excellent customer service. We will continue to focus on providing an incredible range of tools for record labels of all sizes. Your existing contracts will not be affected and our prices have not changed.<\/p>\n
For the past 6 years Label Engine has been\u00a0a joy to develop. Alex, Luis, Gary, myself and the rest of the team have prided ourselves on bringing positive change to the industry by redefining what it means to be a distributor. Through innovation we have brought\u00a0better value for artists and labels\u00a0and continued our mission to ensure that artists are paid fairly.<\/p>\n
Although it was not an easy decision to make a change, we feel that\u00a0Create\u00a0is a company that shares this vision and is able to provide the additional resources necessary to take Label Engine to the next level.\u00a0Create is\u00a0one of the fastest growing YouTube networks in the world and\u00a0is on target to hit over a billion views each month. They have a team of over 40 people in Los Angeles that work with some of the biggest names in the music industry every day.<\/p>\n
Label Engine has already begun taking on additional staff dedicated to adding new exciting features, improving our infrastructure and improving our relationships with labels and stores. We will have a dedicated development center in Vancouver and our US\u00a0staff will be moving into Create’s facility in Los Angeles. We will be\u00a0able to take advantage of Create’s in-house YouTube content monetization technology to provide a boost in YouTube revenue for our labels and use their incredible industry connections to secure better deals and features.<\/p>\n
I personally am incredibly excited\u00a0about Label Engine’s future. I will continue to work with some of the greatest minds in the industry while unlocking a huge realm of opportunity\u00a0for ourselves and our label\/artist partners. Throughout this change we will continue to develop our vision of providing the best possible service to every one of our labels\/artists – I promise you’ll like what we’ve got planned for the future.<\/p>\n
