You are a DevOps, AWS, cloud and Linux expert. Living and breathing support toward consistent success of your team is what you are all about. You are a collaborator, innovator and you love having fun; as do we.


This is a part time (10 to 15 hours per week) DevOps role, with the opportunity of full time for a candidate with development experience. This role could work remotely if desired, however we prefer a minimum 1 day/week spent in our Downtown Vancouver offices. You will maintain the existing service stack, deploy code, lead storage and e- commerce level security solutions. You will also advise on any new technology needs to support our product engineering.


During your first three months with us you will get to:

  • Discover what we have in place, why we've made the choices we did and maintain our DevOps, security, data storage and other needs
  • Make yourself familiar with the full scope of our solutions, our team, our future plans
  • Assess what needs to change immediately, what can wait and collaboratively review with the team

During your first year with us will us you will get to:
  • Share your philosophy on DevOps, your review of what we need to change including cost, benefits, constraints and collaborate with leaders in moving your recommendations to action
  • Present to the team on strategy recommendations & any latest technologies you suggest we implement
  • Support our automation efforts and collaborate with your peers in problem solving


Cool Technology
We use cloud solutions (AWS, S3), big data (Big Query, Neo4j), and have adopted a microservices architecture using a number of other technologies such as ElasticSearch, Redshift, Mysql, Aurora, MongoDB and more.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of cloud/AWS, Linux and platform service management experience
  • Proven experience with Docker, S3, ElasticSearch, Redshift, Google Cloud Platform, Nginx, Process Automation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Javascript, PHP, Sql & NoSql, Rails and mobile developer experience
  • Proficiency with Laravel, Angular, React, Postman, Jira, Veracode


At times we may need to call on you during the weekend or an evening. There will be flexibility to accommodate you back when work volume allows.

You are an aspiring API developer with strong opinions on testing and quality code. You understand microservices architectures, their philosophy, and their pitfalls. You are a collaborator, innovator and you love having fun.


This full time role will have you collaborate in the development and maintenance of the existing architecture. You will be developing interservice interactions and overall supporting front end operations. You will also advise on any new technology needs to support our fast growing pace.


During your first three months with us you will get to:

  • Make yourself familiar with the full scope of our problems, solutions, and future goals
  • Dive into the code base to help with API development

During your first year with us will us you will get to:
  • Collaboratively develop new microservices to provide new functionality
  • Share with us your visions to maintainability, scalability, and optimizations of our services
  • Support our frontend and collaborate with your peers in problem solving

  • 3+ years of building and consuming APIs. Both PHP and Rails experience within an MVC Frameworks is a requirement.
  • Comfortable with SQL (both MySQL and PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and building scalable applications
  • Familiarity with regression/acceptance testing

Preferred Qualifications
  • PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symphony)
  • Rails programming best practices
  • Proficiency with Postman, Pivotal Tracker / Jira
  • Experience with Docker

You are a Full Stack developer with strong opinions on testing and quality code. You understand microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and have complementary front end skills. You are a collaborator, innovator and you love having fun.


This role will have you collaborate in the development and maintenance of the new and existing architecture. You primary responsibility will be to fast track development of tools and products in an agile manner. You will also advise on, and implement, any new technology to support our fast growing pace.


During your first three months with us you will get to:

  • Make yourself familiar with the full scope of our problems, solutions, and future goals
  • Dive into the code base to help with our internal tools and experimental development branch

During your first year with us will us you will get to:
  • Design, architect, and develop new features to improve our operations
  • Share with us your ideas on expanding on newly developed features including scaling and direction
  • Support the team overall while collaborating with your peers in problem solving

You are a Data Developer, analytics guru and data products specialist. You are the backbone for all the data services we build up. Working with data is fun for you especially when it is Big Data. You are a collaborator; innovator and you love having fun.


This role is a mix of some architecture and strategy level work. Your primary goal is building our data products, including data architecture, data infrastructure, data processing, data analysis and communicating. You will also advise on any new technology needs to support our fast growing pace.

  • Make yourself familiar with the full scope of our problems, solutions, and future goals
  • Dive into the code base to help with any new integrations

We use cloud solutions of AWS/Google Cloud Platform. We use many cool technologies including Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, ElasticSearch, Mysql, Aurora, MongoDB, Neo4j, Docker, Ubuntu and many more.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of cloud/AWS/Google Cloud Platform, building and consuming APIs, PHP or Python, and MVC Frameworks
  • Experienced with ElasticSearch, BigQuery, SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and building scalable applications

Preferred Qualifications
  • PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symphony) or Python Frameworks, Node.js
  • Proficiency with Postman, Pivotal Tracker / Jira, and Job Queues
  • Python for data analytics
