Starting today we will be implementing a number of changes to the way subscriptions work on Label Engine.
The first stage of these changes is:
* Setting the price of all subscriptions in US Dollars as opposed to your own currency – you will be charged based on the conversion rate from xe.com at the time of purchase.
* Adding a Demo Management subscription option for those who only want access to the Demo System – this will be priced at $9.99 per month.
* Increasing the price of the Accounting Subscription to $29.99 to put it in line with our Promotion Subscription.
* Removing use of the Demo System from the Promotion and Accounting Subscriptions – it will only be available with a Demo Management Subscription or Premium Subscription, or for Labels using our Premium Distribution service.
For those of you that are currently subscribed, your subscription will not automatically renew and will not automatically deduct your next month’s subscription fee from your Label Engine credit. Instead, your current subscrption will end on the same day of the month as it was started e.g. if your subscription started on January 20th, your subscription will end on October 20th. You will of course only be charged for the portion of your subscription that you have used up to that point.
Once your subscription has ended, you will be able to purchase one of the new subscriptions from our new subscription page.
Subscriptions can be purchased in blocks of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. With discounts of 5%, 10% and 20% available for purchases of 6, 9 and 12 months respectively. The subscription fee must be paid in full before the subscription can begin, single month subscriptions are not available. As before, payment can be made using Paypal or Credit Card using the Paypal payment system. If you have Label Engine credit this can also be put towards your payment.
If you are an existing Label Engine customer please check your email for an additional discount to help make the transition to the new system a little easier. Existing customers should also note that we have set any negative credit balances back to zero, free of charge.
Next year we will be implementing further changes which will include:
* 1st of January 2015 – Removing the Pay as You Go option for Promotion and Accounting.
* 1st of March 2015 – Restriction of access to the Promotion and Accounting sections for those without an active Subscription or Premium Distribution package.
Why make these changes?
* Our current subscription model is overly complicated, confusing and difficult to maintain. The changes will allow us to simplify the subscription process and also add a number of new payment options for exciting new site features coming next year.
* The price of our Accounting Subscription does not currently reflect the amount of time and resources needed to provide the level of customer assistance that we want to offer our customers. The small increase in price will allow us to help new customers overcome the learning curve of the accounting system as well as provide a more personalized service to existing customers. Removal of the Pay as You Go option will allow us to focus our attention on those with serious accounting needs. In addition, the extra revenue we receive will go towards upgrades for our server platform allowing us to provide a more consistent service.
